Capillary Electrophoresis and Taylor Dispersion Analysis: Recent Advances and Present Challenges in Health Applications

Profile

Prof. Hervé Cottet is a full professor at the Biomolecule Institute (IBMM) in Montpellier, France.

His research work concentrates at the interface between separation sciences, analytical chemistry, polymers and pharmaceutical sciences, with expertise in Capillary Electrophoresis and Taylor Dispersion Analysis. He is both interested in the fundamentals and practical (or industrial) applications of CE and TDA. Recent advances include the development of polyelectrolyte multilayer capillary coatings, the limitation of solute adsorption, the optimization of separation efficiency in CE, the study of biomolecular interactions, the monitoring of biomolecule aggregation, the characterization of vaccine formulations, and the development of various TDA applications.

He has co-authored more than 150 scientific articles (h-index=40) dealing with CE and/or TDA. He has (co-)supervised more than 20 PhD students.
